Hey ... I know ya! and you'd think with all of this technology that we'd manage to stay in touch better than we do. Oh well.

Funny thing - I actually stumbled across your blog whilst doing an incoming links analysis for the Aleuminati site. Thanks for the support over there!

i keep reminding myself that i live an incredibly privileged life. every day i come to work, i get to be my own boss, set my own hours, do what i *LOVE* to do every day, learn more, grow in my talents and skills, and help companies in the areas they need, to make them better suited to thrive in this 21st century economy.

my father and every generation before him had to live by doing back-breaking labor...i'm very blessed to have a gift that i can use to work instead by what i can do with my head, and my hands.

people ask me if i am christian/catholic/"believe in god"/etc. ...and often i don't know how to answer them. mainly because i don't go to church, or give to a collection plate or carry a bible around asking everyone if they believe that jesus is their lord and savior.

if i do have any sort of spirituality, i've read the bible, and the koran, and a few other books that tell me that the great thinkers and folks with much bigger souls than i all pretty much agree with you: ...that you live your life as best you can, do good for as many people as you can, and you live as an example to others. that doing good promotes others to do good as well.

so i try.
and if others see what i am doing and it makes them want to do something good for someone else too, then that makes me glad.

You are correct, my friend, people do watch you, consider your actions, and may, from time to time, consider how they live their lives in relation to the way you live yours.

It is good to stop once and a while and take a look at the world around you -- and consider what you can truly do to make it a better place.

As someone once said, if you keep your head down, you may find a nickle or a dime, but you will miss the beautiful sunrise.

dude, u should talk to me and connor; his company connexs did the website for center1, and he's got some awesome stuff going on in terms of their web strategy. i think it would be good to have a talk about some web-based stuff that could be some synergy between your stuff, center1, blogging, e-newsletters and the like. increase foot traffic like you said. would be good for everyone.

I want to let you know the Spoof-man reads your blog even if you never update it... My Google Reader keeps telling me that your blog has been inactive since May and should be "deleted from my feeds". I don't want to be without your feed, so how about a goal in '08 that an update a month happens? Capisce?

Great trip. Didn't think a bit about bills, work, problems, Oklahoma, heat or anything. Every morning and evening we had a campfire with Grandpaw (he likes to spell it this way). Hiked a bit up some streams, caught a few trout, ate like a king and enjoyed the cool weather which at first we weren't sure that it was going to be what weather.com said, but it ended up being cloudy most of the time with scattered showers. This was great because it was cooler and we had no chance of having fire bans. Our friends Caleb and Rebecca showed us their soon to be new diggs. Picture perfect ranch just 30 min south of Creede just below Red Mountain. They get to be the care takers of the ranch and it's just too cool to describe. Our other friends Daniel and Laura bought the business next to their store and re-finished the old Old Miner Inn back to it almost original look. Finally got to spend a few hours with them right before we left. Having a restaurant and bar to run doesn't provide much time for the owners. I wish them the best! I was back to work for a half day on the 25th.

OK, so I suck at providing pics. I said I would, but I can't find them in any email. I'll have to ask RJ if she can forward them to me so that I can save them on this computer and then post them. What a hassle. Sorry, but I think Jen's the only one that reads this and hasn't already seen them.
